Room Hire

Alford House is a thriving centre for rehearsals, and has provided such facilities to a wide range of theatre companies for over 30 years. We aim to provide you with the space you require and the assistance you need to make your rehearsal period as productive as you would like.

We know that each company has different needs and we try hard to meet them. We don't pretend we can meet these needs when we can't. We want happy customers and would rather point you in another direction if we feel we are unsuitable.

Pricing Information

  • Prices for spaces range from £550 to £850 per week.
  • Production Offices are £160.00 per week.
  • Saturdays in each space are charged at £25.00 per hour, with a minimum charge of £110.00.

NOTE: General Restrictions - floor space MUST be cleared at the end of each day, excepting Thursdays & Saturdays for all hired spaces.

Other Facilities

We are pleased to offer the following additional facilities:

Meeting room - hire by the hour, room for up to 14 people to meet.

Lounge - Not been called yet? Friends coming to meet you? Need lunch or a quick coffee break? Then there is the lounge area for you to relax in, equipped with digital TV. Currently we offer hot and cold vending machines. The hot vending machine serves tea, filter coffee and chocolate.

Recording Studio - A fully equipped recording studio is available to hire by the hour.

Wireless IT - Free internet access is yours when rehearsing at Alford House. Using Apple Airport Extreme our wireless network has a range that covers most of the building. All you need is hardware, Mac or PC, with wireless facilities.

Photocopying and fax - No petty cash needed. Charges will be added to your final invoice.

Free car parking - Car parking is free, but please note we are located in the Congestion Charge Zone. There is space for appoximately 15 cars but we encourage all those attending rehearsals to use public transport.
